OUR JOURNEY

 

In April of 2003, with 21 years of Hobart Corporation experience, I founded MPM Food Equipment Group. The initials of the company are derived from the names of my three sons: Matthew, Patrick, and Mark. Starting in my basement in Glenview, Illinois, we incorporated in July. By contacting customers and securing deals with manufacturers like Beverage-Air, Cleveland, Fry Master, and others, our business grew. In 2007, I seized an opportunity with Whole Foods for Beverage-Air Refrigeration Equipment, leading to a significant expansion into their new stores and several remodels. We had grown to a 48,000 square-foot building, increasing our revenue from $1 million to over $20 million annually and became the exclusive distributor for PizzaMaster ovens in the United States. With a focus on food service, supermarkets, and independent operators, our growth has been consistent, driven by our commitment to customer care and service after the sale, albeit because of the quality of PizzaMaster ovens, there was very little service needed.

PizzaMaster has been a cornerstone of our success, with consecutive growth every year since 2007. Our relationship with Christer Andersson, the founder, and manufacturer of PizzaMaster ovens, has been wonderful. Today, with over 100 sales representatives, we continue to expand our reach and uphold our reputation for unparalleled support and competitive pricing.

Beyond business, MPM Food Equipment Group has become a PizzaMaster USA family over time. Our culture is built on strong bonds, where employees are not just colleagues but also close friends and family. This close-knit group plays a vital role in keeping MPM running strong, fostering a supportive environment where everyone is invested in the company’s success. As we enter our third decade in business, we remain committed to our values and the people who make MPM Food Equipment Group a thriving community.
